New Palace of La Rambla

The Palau Nou de La Rambla is a commercial building that was built between 1989 and 1993. Designed by architects Oriol Bohigas, David Mackay, and Josep Martorell, the building has a ground floor and four upper floors.

The building is also known as the intelligent building because it includes a robotic parking lot with eleven underground floors.

One of its main characteristics is the large empty space that allows a view of the bell tower of the Basilica of El Pi. This space is the passage Amadeu Bagués that connects La Rambla with Carrer Cardenal Casañas.

Friends of La Rambla has its headquarters on the third floor of this building.
