Palau Mornau
More than five centuries ago it was the mansion of the Santcliment family, a notable and influential family that was part of the government of Barcelona at that time. Over time, it had many different owners. In 1797, the house passed into the hands of Josep Francesc Mornau, an honorary commissioner of the Royal Armies. He made history here, in this house, plotting a conspiracy against the French occupying forces in 1809. A commemorative plaque in the museum's vestibule recalls the events. The house now bears his name: Palau Mornau.
The Palace is currently home to the Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum. The Hash Marihuana & Hemp Museum in Barcelona offers its visitors a guided tour with an audio guide. Throughout their visit, they will be able to listen to unpublished explanatory comments about some key pieces of the collection and the history of the building. The museum's new audio guide is available in six languages: Spanish, Catalan, English, French, German, and Italian.
The Palau Mornau is classified as a cultural asset of local interest.
