Plaque 'Here lived and wrote Rómulo Gallegos'

The Venezuelan writer Rómulo Gallegos lived on La Rambla.

A bronze plaque on the wall of number 138 La Rambla reminds us of this.

The plaque reads:

'HERE LIVED AND WROTE (1930)

EMINENT NOVELIST AND

PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC

OF VENEZUELA

CARACAS 1884 -1969'

Rómulo Gallegos lived in one of the rooms of the Hotel Toledano (The address of the current number 138 was formerly Rambla de Canaletas, 6, 3ºB).
