The Font de Canaletes has a legend that invites visitors to drink water from the fountain: "whoever drinks the water of Canaletes, will return to the city"
The plaque at the foot of the Fountain reminds us of this legend:
“IF YOU DRINK WATER
FROM THE FONT DE CANALETES
YOU WILL ALWAYS BE
IN LOVE WITH BARCELONA.
AND NO MATTER HOW FAR YOU GO
YOU WILL ALWAYS COME BACK.”
